Sometime ago I read a book by Tony Robbins, the self growth personality who was so popular during the 1990s.  He talked a lot about taking action to achieve our goals.  Actually about taking massive action.  I agree with the concept, because an action list without any action is simply a list, right?  But what are we supposed to do if we are having a hard time making a decision?  “No action” can feel like the “wrong” action.

Are You Guessing Their Intention

Have you ever had a disagreement with another person? It used to happen to me frequently. It wasn’t that I was argumentative or disagreeable, but I used to make a lot of assumptions. I guessed what the other person was feeling, or thinking, or what they “really meant.” I became a master of making assumptions.

Guaranteed to Improve Your Life

It seems like as a society we have gotten so used to products and manufacturers offering us a 100% guarantee…”this product will change your life,” or “guaranteed results.” Have we grown accustom to expecting things NOT to work, so therefore we need to be promised or assured that we have “absolutely nothing to lose” before we try something new?

Recognizing Behavior Patterns

On the journey or path of personal development, I think it’s important to stop, and take a look at where I’ve been.  Not to stay too long in the past, of course, or I might not be present in the moment .   And of course if I truly believe I have everything I need right now, then recognizing past behavior patterns doesn’t have to be where I maintain my focus, but allows me the opportunity to set my focal point on the positive and opens my mind up to the possibilities that exist all around me.
